Attendees were treated to an abundance of knowledge from an expert panel covering various topics, including whakapapa and lived experiences, alongside poignant pūrākau shared by whānau directly affected by suicide. The atmosphere throughout the day highlighted the vital role of prevention efforts in saving lives, with a palpable sense of healing and hope circulating among participants.

We also want to thank Bros for Change for their delicious hangi. A significant appreciation goes to all our speakers, group facilitators, and kaimahi, particularly Karena Waretini, whose tireless energy and dedication helped bring this kaupapa to life.

As we look forward to future collaboration in this important space, we are excited about what lies ahead and the possibility of more impactful events. Together, we forge the path from darkness into light, embodying the spirit of "Mai I te pō ki te ao mārama."
