Pātaka Pukapuka
(Community Collaboration)
03 / 09 / 2024
The talented tamariki at Chisnalwood Intermediate have been buzzing with creativity, painting our Pātaka Pukapuka in preparation for installation at He Waka Tapu. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Cook Brothers Construction for constructing these Pātaka Pukapuka, which will be placed at various locations around Ōtautahi. These hubs will serve as a "take what you need, bring what you can" resource centre accessible to everyone.
PĀTAKA PUKAPUKA
You can find these Pātaka Pukapuka at several locations, including:
· He Waka Tapu
A big mihi to all our collaborative partners who have played a role in bringing this amazing kaupapa to life by providing free books to those in need.
In collaboration with Cook Brothers, we are embarking on a project to set up several Pātaka Pukapuka (book-sharing hubs) within our community. These hubs will operate similarly to our Pātaka Kai (community pantries), offering access to books instead of food.
If you are a business, school, community group, or club interested in joining us by hosting a Pātaka Pukapuka at your location, please reach out.
