PAE ORA 2024

12 / 10 / 2024

Earlier this month we all came together as a community for the annual Pae Ora event, the atmosphere was even bigger than years past! The event brought together the community for a day filled with joy, connection, and most importantly the collective wellbeing of whānau and community.

THANK YOU

A massive thanks goes out to Adrian from Active QT, whose meticulous planning, prize procurement, and organisational skills played a pivotal role in the event's success.

The energy throughout the day was amplified by MC, George (affectionately known as The Host from the Coast), and DJ Danny-ill, who brought the perfect vibe at the start and finish line. Special mention to YCD - Youth & Cultural Development team, who fired up the BBQs to make sure that everyone was well-fed.

We would like to acknowledge our generous funders and sponsors, including Rātā Foundation, Christchurch City Council, Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora, The Cancer Society of New Zealand, The I.T. Team, Merrell, Garmin, and OSM. Your ongoing support enables us to create these memorable experiences and continue our mission of fostering community wellbeing.

WHAT WHĀNAU HAD TO SAY

“A whānau adventure which is turning into an annual tradition. It's something our family/friends can all do together that's healthy and cost isn't a factor”

“Love getting the kids to do this. They did it this year with 2 cousins who were up from Ōtepoti and with family (aunt, uncle and 2 cousins)”

“Whānau and having a positive whānau experience with them, where we knew it was a safe environment for our children. Eg: no drugs or drinking and around Hauora”
