WĀHINE ORA MURAL

(Cervical Screening)

25 / 10 / 2024

We are excited to unveil the stunning makeover of our Wāhine wharepaku, which has been transformed this week into a welcoming and empowering space for our wāhine. This initiative is part of our ongoing commitment to promoting health and wellbeing among our community.

WAHINE ORA MURAL

Wāhine Ora Health Promoter Wikitoria Kurene shared her insights on the purpose behind this makeover: "The idea is to empower wāhine to stay on top of their hauora checks and feel comfortable engaging in conversations about their health. Some of the best discussions about wellness can happen in the wharepaku, where wāhine can feel at ease."

To facilitate these important conversations, we've introduced a thought-provoking pātai (question): “Are you up to date with your cervical screening?” Accompanying this question is a QR code that links directly to the He Waka Tapu website, making it easy for wāhine to book their cervical screening appointments with just a scan. This not only encourages proactive health management but also fosters an environment of open dialogue and support regarding women's health.

We would like to extend a big mihi to Sarah from our Marketing & Communications team for her beautiful design work on this project.

This makeover is just one of many exceptional creations that she has brought to life, contributing significantly to the aesthetics and functionality of our space.
